This place is a wonderful place for children. They play and make new friends. Even though it is small you have fun playing in it. It has swings, a slide and a spiderweb. Around the park there are coffee shops and pizzerias where parents buy things to eat or drink while they watch over us. by Angel

Interesting Places in Marsaskala: St. Anne's Parish Church

Marsascala became a Parish in 1949, and the small church of St. Anne, the property of the Senglea Chapter became the Parish Church. Later in 1953 a new church started being built, which is the church used till today. The parish priest today is Fr. Rodriek Camilleri. There are a lot activities and groups, such as Mothers and Baby group, groups that prepare for the feast of St. Anne which they celebraate on the last   Sunday of July. by Jessica Photo by JadeB

Briconet Rido ub t was built in 1715 by the order of Saint John as one of a beach side fortifications around the Maltese islands. It formed part of the defen c es of Marsas k ala bay. It consists of a shape platform and a rectangular house shut off the deep narrow alley. Not like other redoubts the deep narrow alley and beach sides have high wall stuck by a way out. These were built to defend the redoubt from an attack. Until the 21st century, this building was used as the marsascala police station. Today it is a public monument. by Neil Photo by Angel

Redoubt Briconet was built in 1715 by the Order of Saint John. The word REDOUBT means fortification. This building is found in Marsaskala and is located between the Parish Church and the Waterpolo Pitch. Until recently Redoubt Briconet was serving as the Marsaskala police station. by Miguel

Interesting Places in Marsaskala: Villa Apap Bologna

Villa Apap Bologna Photo by Ayden Villa Apap Bologna was the property of the Noble Apap Bologna. In 1792 Grandmaster de Rohan   gave   him the title of "Marquis ta'   Ġnien is- Sultan". This was beneficial for the Marsascala parish church. This  is a dragon which you can find in Cracow. Its name is Smok Wawelski. It breathes fire ever 5 minutes. It is not dangerous:)

Postcards from Marsaskala

The students of our class went round our village to take shots of some interesting places. In class they used their tablets to create digital postcards with all their pictures. Later on I'll upload more detailed versions of each site they visited.
